FAQs for Cooking classes

What is the size of your Cooking classes ?

I like to keep things small for a more personalized, hands-on class : 8 participants maximum.

Do I need to bring any special materials ?

All materials, tools, and aprons are provided. But please bring as many questions about French food and culture as you like !

Which days and times are your Cooking classes offered ?

Please contact me with YOUR specific dates — I adapt to your schedule !

Where are your Cooking classes held ?

I rent a cozy, sunny cooking workshop near my apartment here in eastern Paris – it is a shared space, and has a home kitchen equipped with regular (not professional) materials. I will give you specific instructions and a map for how to get to the workshop in your confirmation e-mail.

How do I reserve for a class ?

Contact me with your travel dates, and we will find a day and time for your class. Then I will set up a private payment page for you through my web site. Once you’ve paid, I will then contact you by e-mail to confirm your reservation and give you more details about the class.

What is your cancellation policy ?

Cooking classes may be cancelled by phone using the phone number provided in your confirmation e-mail up to 1 week in advance, for a full refund. Within the 1-week period, all reservations are final and non-refundable.

What if I’m running late for a Cooking class ?

If you’re running late, just call the phone number provided in the confirmation e-mail to let me know. A late arrival (beyond 15 minutes) or no-show is considered as a last-minute cancellation, and is not refundable. It’s best to plan on arriving at the cooking workshop about 15 minutes before the scheduled class time so we have time to meet and have coffee together.

Are children allowed to participate in Cooking classes ?

Children should be at least 13 years old, accompanied by an adult.

Are cooking classes in English ?

Yes, unless otherwise specified at the time of reservation. I do teach classes in French as well, and many times the classes are in both languages, with French-speakers and English-speakers helping each other out ! This makes for a fun, cross-cultural experience.

I have a food allergy/dietary restriction. Do you accommodate for food restrictions ?

I will certainly try ! But please mention your food allergy/dietary restriction when you reserve for a class.

Can I take the recipes home with me ?

Of course ! I will provide you with printed versions of the recipes so you can take notes during the class, and I will be happy to send you the recipes in pdf format by e-mail at your request.
