Use of the web site
The content of Paris on the Edge web site is for entertainment and general information purposes only. We don’t provide any guarantee of performance, accuracy, or suitability of the information found here. Like most chefs and kitchen workers, sometimes I employ language which is below-the-belt. This is in no way meant to offend you ; if it does, please do not use this web site.
Links to other web sites are also provided in a spirit of entertainment, and Paris on the Edge assumes no responsibility for the content of other web sites. Addresses and opening hours for stores, restaurants, and museums whose addresses are given may be modified without notice. Please make sure to call ahead to check this information.
Privacy and publication of comments
If you are getting my e-mail updates directly in your mailbox, it’s because you have signed up for them. I cannot, legally, sign you up for my updates. If you want to unsubscribe, please click on the opt-out on the bottom of your e-mail update.
Your e-mail is never sold, traded, or otherwise shared with anyone. It is only used for sending out my bi-monthly newsletters and an occasional e-mail advertising a special reduction for a new Cooking class or Walking tour.
Your comments below the recipes are valued ! So your e-mail will never be shown or given out as a result of your having left a comment. The comments section is moderated, however, so if your comment doesn’t show up immediately after hitting the “Finished editing : submit message” button, this is normal. I reserve the right to not publish comments that are defamatory, rude, or just downright unpleasant. Also, you should know that I am a stickler for spelling and grammar errors - one of my (many) pet peeves - so I also reserve the right to make small corrections if necessary before publishing your comment.
Terms of sale and satisfaction
Sales through Paris on the Edge are bound by the laws and regulations of the French government. Payment is processed through Paypal, and is required for a reservation for a Cooking class or a Walking tour. Prices advertised include VAT ; if you need a detailed receipt for a class or tour, please contact me before the tour date. Please see the FAQs sections for Cooking classes or Walking tours for more detailed information.
My Cooking classes and Walking tours are prepared with the highest standards, and I endeavor to provide fun classes and walks during which you learn about French culture. If for any reason you are dissatisfied with my services, please send me a detailed e-mail describing the reason for your dissatisfaction within 10 working days of the class or tour. I will do everything possible to resolve the problem, and if necessary, will refund your purchase.
For my cancellation policy for both Cooking classes and Walking tours, please refer to the FAQs sections for each. In the case of very inclement weather during/prior to a Walking tour, all attempts will be made to find another date/time for your walk. If that is not possible, you will be refunded the full amount of the Walking tour.
Liability, health, and safety
Your use of the services, recipes, or suggestions found on this web site is entirely at your own risk. Whether you are cooking at home or in my cooking studio during a class, ovens are hot and knives are (hopefully) sharp ! Please use these materials with the utmost of care, since I cannot assume responsibility for accidents. If you have a doubt or question, please contact your insurance policy before signing up for a Cooking class.
Likewise, Paris is full of potholes, steep streets, dog poo, and all cities have a few motorbike thieves. Any mishap, misstep, or theft during a Walking tour is your responsibility. Please have your wits about you, and we will surely have a wonderful Walking tour ! Again, please contact your insurance policy before signing up for a Walking tour if you have doubts.
